Privacy Policy
The New Archetype ("we," "us") helps women of color advance into senior leadership. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what we need to serve you. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Contact details. Your name and email when you register for an event, join a waitlist, contact us, or create an account.
- Assessment responses. The answers you enter in the ASCEND Assessment, which we use to generate your results and recommendation.
- Account information. If you create a Navigator account, your email and a securely hashed password, plus the notes and artifacts you build in the app.
- Payments. If you purchase a program, payment is handled by PayPal. We receive confirmation of your purchase but never see or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may log basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site secure and running. We keep a small login session cookie so you can stay signed in to the app. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To generate and deliver your assessment results, report, and coaching.
- To email you the things you asked for (your results, event details, replies to your messages).
- To operate our events and programs, and respond to your inquiries.
- To improve the product and our research-based content.
AI processing
The Navigator uses Anthropic's Claude API to turn your assessment responses and conversations into your personalized report and coaching. Your inputs are sent to Anthropic solely to generate your output; under Anthropic's API terms, this data is not used to train their models.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us operate, each of which processes your data only to provide their service to us:
- Netlify - website and app hosting
- Supabase - secure database for your account and results
- Anthropic - the AI that generates your report and coaching
- Resend - delivery of your results and confirmation emails
- Formspree - handling of contact and registration forms
- PayPal - payment processing for paid programs
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our services, and to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and database access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.
Children
The New Archetype is intended for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
